A pre-cut American version was submitted to the BBFC for rating.
- During the chair interrogation scene, shots that emphasise the squeezing of the Chinese man’s windpipe have been removed to lessen the focus on his choking
- When Tango is berated by the big-chinned con in the cell, the sight of Tango yanking his head against the bars has been cut, as well as the shots showing the con bleeding
- In the prison fight, all shots of Cash wielding and using the baseball bat have been cut
- Cash brutally headbutting one con has been removed
- In the following torture sequence, all shots showing Tango and Cash being dipped into the water have been removed, along with shots showing live cables
There are websites elsewhere listing cuts made to the film, but they are the cuts carried out before submission to the BBFC. These are the only BBFC-sanctioned edits.
